One Way ANOVA

Carrowkeel

If a researcher is interested in evaluating if there is a difference in the population means between groups a common statistical tool that is used is analysis of variance (ANOVA). It is natural to ask why do we analyse variances to answer the question of a difference in population means? Here we explain why. We simulate a one way ANOVA, and analyse using R. We work through the calculations manually to shed light on what’s going on.
